I'm enjoying life at home with Hayden. So much so that I can't imagine doing anything but. Yet I know that August will come sooner that I think...and this scares the crap out of me. I don't want anyone but Bart or I to put her down for her naps, or sing her songs or read to her. Maybe this is selfish, or even just a first-time parent fear. Whatever it is- it is inevitable. I suppose that I have to look at the situation in a positive light- this is just how my baby will begin to expand her world.
I am inspired by so many different things in my life these days. Mostly I am inspired by Hayden- her giggles, her sweet faces, and how her precious eyes view new things in the world for the very first time. I've also been inspired lately by the joys of summertime- sunsets at 8:30 pm, Summer Shandies, flowers on my freshly-manicured toes, and even garage sales. (Yes, I am a closet garage-saler...I love the thrill of the hunt!)
One thing I can't get out of my mind, however is a new blog that I came across. Kelle Hampton writes so eloquently and takes AMAZING photos. I am so excited to hear that she is in the process of writing a book because I can't get enough of her and her poignant tales of daily life with her family! I especially love how she asks if it is possible to "have it all"- or be fun and still be a great mom. Her answer is... hell yeah! This gives me inspiration.
I sure hope to blog more often. If not for anything else but to look back upon it one day- like cracking open the good, ol' fashioned journal.
